pylon and strut. The LEAP-1B engine is attached to the airplane—the engines are mounted farther forward on the 737 MAX for better aerodynamic integration. The new LEAP-1B engine for the MAX incorporates many industry firsts, including 3-D woven carbon fiber composite fan blades.
