RUN FOR THE ROSES: THE KENTUCKY DERBY
CAPTURE ALL THE THRILLS of “Derby Day” on Run for the Roses: The Kentucky Derby – our exclusive five-day Event in Lexington, Kentucky, 04 – 08 May 2016, celebrating the 142nd Running of the Kentucky Derby, with a choice of two itineraries: Bluegrass Country, focusing on the historic traditions of Lexington and the Bluegrass region; or Thoroughbred World, perfect for horse enthusiasts and including admission to the 142nd Running of the Kentucky Oaks – the annual “sister race” for three-year-old Thoroughbred fillies held at Churchill Downs the day before the Derby! Experience the thrill of viewing the Derby from your choice of three reserved seating options at Churchill Downs: the exclusive Jockey Club Suite (limited to 23 guests, only on Thoroughbred World); a Start Gate private box unit (available on both itineraries); or First Turn Covered Open Air Seating in a grandstand-style setting (available only on Bluegrass Country).
GALA EVENING EVENTS Each night, our entire group shares gala Tauck evenings together that perfectly cap each day’s activities: Our welcome reception and dinner with entertainment at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa on Day 1; and on Day 2, cocktails on the lawn at Keeneland, followed by dinner overlooking the racetrack. On Day 3, Bluegrass Country guests enjoy a “dine-around” at a choice of Lexington restaurants. And on Day 4, all guests enjoy an open bar farewell buffet at the hotel with country music entertainment.
