4. YELLOWSTONE WILDERNESS & A PICNIC Wake up to a world of amazing natural wonders in Yellowstone National Park and spend the day on an excursion led by an expert from The Institute of the Yellowstone Association; you’ll learn about the park’s history and wildlife and enjoy a picnic lunch in spectacular surroundings. The park is home to the largest concentration of wildlife in the lower 48 states, 10,000 hot springs, and two-thirds of all geysers in the world! Meals BLD
5. BUFFALO BILL & CODY RODEO THRILLS Drive to Cody, the “rodeo capital of the world,” founded in 1896 by “Buffalo Bill” Cody, a frontiersman and folk hero who spread his love for the West through his travelling Wild West show. Learn about his colourful history at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Tonight, excitement awaits at the Cody Nite Rodeo with bull riding, team roping, and barrel racing. Meals BD
6. BIG HORN VISTAS & THE COWBOY LIFE View the Big Horn Mountains en route to TA Guest Ranch; homesteaded in 1884, this authentic cattle ranch was the site of the infamous Johnson County War. Your visit includes meeting a horse whisperer who shares his secrets, cowboy roping demonstrations, and an opportunity to go horseback riding* – western style, of course! This evening, dinner and a campfire is a treat at the Ranch at Ucross. Meals BLD
7. CRAZY HORSE & MOUNT RUSHMORE Epic Black Hills artwork is in store today, first with a visit to the Crazy Horse Memorial, a 22-story-high Lakota warrior being carved into the side of Thunderhead Mountain, then to Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, where you are welcomed by the colossal granite heads of four US presidents. Then it’s on to your Black Hills lodge for this evening’s farewell reception and dinner to celebrate a week of authentic western magic. Meals BLD
