4. THE ICEFIELDS PARKWAY Travel the famous Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Jasper National Park, considered one of the most spectacular drives in the Canadian national parks. It takes you past 600+ glaciers, six icefields, mountains, and waterfalls. En route, enjoy a barbecue lunch, and keep your eyes open for bears, moose, elk, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats – especially in spring and fall. Arrive at your lodge on the shore of Lac Beauvert, in Jasper National Park, for a two-night stay. Meals BLD
5. A DAY IN THE PARK Do Jasper National Park your way – spend the day on your own or on one of these included adventures: gentle whitewater rafting* on the Athabasca River; a Wildlife Discovery Tour with a wildlife interpreter; or a trip on the Jasper Tramway with a visit to the town of Jasper. Optional lodge activities (available at additional cost) include trail riding, boating, and golf. A park official shares insights on Aboriginal culture late this afternoon. Meals BD
6. ICE EXPLORER RIDE At Athabasca Glacier ride a specially designed Ice Explorer that takes you across the surface of this prehistoric glacier. Stay for the next two nights at The Fairmont Banff Springs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site styled after a Scottish baronial castle set in a landscape of towering peaks and blue lakes. Meals BLD
7. BANFF NATIONAL PARK Today explore or relax according to your own pace and inclination; enjoy the village of Banff or spend the day at your resort.
