n Coventry a major processing and distribution w arehouse worth over £35 million has been g ranted with work started early 2017 and planned for completion in October. The Winvic Construction site based in Lyons Park which covers 4.7 hectares follows on from the previous successful scheme with online retailer Amazon at Bardon, Leicestershire.
H elping to deliver the project is Leicester- b ased company WM Building Services who are responsible for the design and installation of the mechanical services and have chosen Smith Brothers Stores as their preferred supplier for t he project providing materials such as; steel t ube, weld fi ttings, Crane valves, Pegler Yorkshire Xpress, Polypipe Terrain soil and waste, Lochinvar water heaters and Lawton copper tubes.
Having serviced the HVAC market for over 100 years they are able to deliver to the ‘Considerate Construction Scheme’ within the rules set within t he accreditation. With local depots at Leicester, B irmingham and Northampton they are able t o service the site eff ortlessly drawing from substantial stock levels. WM Building Services
are members of BESA, building a reputation of quality along with being associated with NICEIC, MCS along with GasSafe, Watersafe and RECC accreditations.
At Lyons Park it is also planned that there will be high-tech industrial and offi
ffic e pre-le t
opportunities along with the car manufacturer (Jaguar Landrover) factory and distribution warehouse. From the site it will generate
thousands of local jobs, with 1,600 jobs alone at the distribution centre.
