FEATURE REPORT PRODUCT NEWS set free vrf with off coil temperature control Hoshizaki
Hoshizaki has launched the Snowfl ake GII refrigeration range. Designed with reliability, durability and aff ordability in mind, the range will off er the ideal solution for caterers working to more cost-conscious budgets, while seeking to purchase the best quality without compromise. Built to deliver optimum operation performance, the Snowfl ake GII can withstand the most demanding environments in ambient temperatures of up to 40°C, thanks to its tropicalised cooling system. The Snowfl ake GII range is available as cabinets with reversible doors so they can be opened on the left or right, plus counters that provide valuable prep space for working within confi ned spaces. The removable door gaskets, easy to clean interiors with anti- tilting function, and cleaning free extractable condenser makes for easy care, cutting maintenance costs and off ering a stable performance.

Swegon
Swegon’s new Blue Box Zeta Rev HP XT with capacities ranging from 40 to 200kW was designed from the outset to operate at the sort of extreme ambient temperature limits that conventional heat pump units simply
wouldn’t be able to cope with, right down to -20°c ambient. To help it withstand such punishing conditions the Zeta Rev HP XT comes incorporated with the latest injection technology, enabling it to deliver temperatures up to 65°c capable of producing domestic hot water. It also results in a higher effi ciency heat pump with an SCOP of A+ which meets the 2017/19 EcoDesign targets. Fitted with optional inverter pumps further improves energy effi ciency. To improve and reduce defrost cycles the units include a Smart Anti-Ice Circuit, to help avoid ice forming on the bottom of the exchanger.
Exxon-Mobil
ExxonMobil has launched its most advanced mineral-based oil for ammonia compressors used in refrigeration systems. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic 68 NH has been designed to help improve system effi ciency and off ers cost benefi ts for industrial refrigeration operators.
Mobil Gargoyle Arctic 68 NH has been developed to meet the growing use of ammonia as a natural refrigerant. The new oil is designed for large industrial reciprocating and rotary refrigeration compressors used in food freezing, cold storage and marine applications. Thanks to a balanced formulation, Mobil Gargoyle Arctic 68 NH
off ers step-out performance compared with conventional mineral based refrigeration oils. Extended oil drain intervals, superior oil fl ow and wide temperature performance are among the many benefi ts. In extensive laboratory and bench tests, the new lubricant delivered good oil fl ow at low temperatures and eff ective oil return from the evaporator, helping to improve overall system effi ciency. Mobil Gargoyle Arctic 68 NH also showed excellent wear protection and stability under extreme conditions and increased oil life thanks to thermo-oxidative stability and low volatility, which ensures a consistent performance.

The Zeta Rev HP XT also uses the latest generation of Blue Think controls which has an integrated web server allowing easy remote monitoring, BMS integration and sequencing for multiple units. In addition, with optional Smartlink it can seamlessly communicate with Swegon’s popular Gold Air Handling units for further energy savings.

Hubbard
Hubbard Systems has launched a compact under counter icemaker that can produce ice all day long. The Scotsman Ice Tower 56 is an under counter unit measuring 539mm(w) X 664mm(d) X 720mm(h) with a counter top dispenser. Despite its compact size it can produce 500kg of nugget ice in a 24 hour period, which means it can dispense a virtually endless supply, on tap.
The ice is produced in the under counter section of the machine, before being fed upwards through a maintenance-free ice chimney, into a 5kg capacity hopper in the tower head. Capable of dispensing 50g in just three seconds, it can either produce as much ice as is required or a set amount with the timer option. This allows it to dispense ice non-stop, factoring in time to replace cups, enabling it to easily keep up with even the highest demand without running out. The Ice Tower’s refrigeration system is designed to maximise its lifespan.
