to the UK retail sector this summer – the micro chann el evaporator. This innovation represents a major breakthrough in bringing the flexibility of an integral refrigerator back to the market. We have developed and patented this new technology for a new generation of plug-in Genova chillers and freezers, the Genova
Ecovision MCT. The Ecovision is a low-front glass door integral multideck that features the micro channel evaporator.
This technology can change the way that
retailers look at integrals. The Evaporator brings much lower noise, lower energy consumption and less heat rejection compared to a standard cabinet, meaning it takes away all of the reasons not to use integrals, such as higher running costs, noisy condensing units and heat rejection issues. A water-cooled system is also available for the Genova Ecovision MCT for customers, to remove all heat rejection issues on the shop floor. The feedback from retailers on the Genova MCT has already been phenomenal. We launched the technology at EuroShop on 05 March. Every refrigeration expert, store designer and consultant who visited us could see the benefits and were justifiably impressed – but the reaction of retailers was the real eye opener. They could
see that our new technology is the future for all their refrigeration needs.
We showcased it again at 2017 Retail’s Best Forecourt & Convenience Partners event on 23 March, and at the Farm Shop & Deli Show in Birmingham from 24-26 April. Retailers were impressed with its low noise, low energy consumption and efficiency, and we’ve since had numerous follow-up enquiries about when the product will be made available.
We truly believe this is just the start, as now we can begin to build future cabinet designs
around the smaller evaporator to increase its display area, too.
The Ecovision is a low front cabinet with five tier 500mm shelves, a choice of door styles to suit customers needs and LED lighting. Available to order in late July this year, the cabinet is available 3M0 and 3M1 versions with and without an inverter.
