aikin UK has officially opened a new office in central London, offering customers improved project and application support within the buoyant Greater London market. Based in Harp Lane and within walking distance of London Bridge, Monument and Tower Hill stations, the modern offices feature an open ceiling showcasing the latest in Daikin VRV technology. As part of a wider move to create a strong collaborative environment, share project experience and provide clients with a superior level of customer service, the Daikin UK sales team has restructured, bringing together its contractor sales, specification, applied systems, application and quotation teams under a single area sales manager in each region.

Midea chooses Chemours refrigerant in North America

he Chemours Company has announced its Opteon XL55 (R-452B) low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant has been chosen by China-based Midea for use in its unitary air- conditioning units designed for the North America market.
The research and development team of Midea Group’s Central Air Conditioning Division remarked that Opteon XL55 meets the performance requirements for unitary air conditioning units for North America, and has a leading advantage in low GWP.
Mingli Tian, general manager, Central Air Conditioning Division of Midea Group, said: “Opteon XL55 is the perfect low GWP refrigerant choice to make sure our products are compliant with environmental regulations. It will carry us far into the future with an environmentally sustainable offering for our customers.”
Meanwhile, Diego Boeri, vice president, Chemours Fluorochemicals, said: “We at Chemours are extremely pleased that Midea has selected Opteon XL55 for use in their unitary air conditioning units.”
