FEATURE REPORT PRODUCT NEWS set free vrf with off coil temperature control Climalife

MVR-300 is a new refrigerant detector for occupied spaces to enhance safety, legislation compliance and HVAC effi ciency. It has a fl ush mount design that fi ts into a 2-gang electrical back box, and is mains powered. It has audio-visual alarm alerts and programmable high

and low level alarm relays, plus a programmable Modbus interface allowing integration into a building management system. The MVR-300 from Bacharach, automatically detects mechanical and software faults using its own self-diagnostics with LED indication of status critical and non-critical faults plus fault code and status output via Modbus. The plug-in fi eld replaceable pre- calibrated sensor and simple automated gas calibration routine make the MVR-300™ easy to maintain and calibrate. Available from Climalife, the MVR-300 is an ideal solution for refrigerant gas detection in hotel rooms, hospitals, offi ces or any other occupied spaces where high refrigerant volume HVAC systems are installed. Versions are available for detecting R32, R407C, R410A and R404A.

ECEX is launching an air handling unit (AHU) refurbishment and repair service designed to extend the lifespan of existing AHUs, increase their operating effi ciency, save energy, boost performance, and typically reduce running costs. The company’s managing director John Grenville said: “Complete replacement of an AHU is not always the best option. For example, in many cases it is less expensive than replacing an AHU and off ers the opportunity to upgrade the existing specifi cation by taking advantage of the latest energy effi cient EC plug fans and components.” The service covers all types of coils, belt drives, motors, fans, bearings and spares. www.ecex.co.uk/services

Pastorfrigor Conex Bänninger

Conex Bänninger, in partnership with Wieland K65 tubes, has developed its K65 fi ttings for the commercial sector, a solution for high- pressure ACR applications. The CO2

solutions highly pressured CO2

can deliver pressure ratings up to 120 bar (1740 psi). The K65 system also enables businesses to retain their green credentials by using the R744 refrigerant. Perfectly suited to a range of

highly pressured refrigeration and air conditioning applications such as installations in offi ce blocks, schools and supermarkets, the K65 system simplifi es specifi cation as there is no tube gauge variation in both Wieland’s alloys and Conex Bänninger’s complementary fi ttings range. With installer safety crucial, both the tube and fi tting components of the K65 system are UL 207 certifi ed. The K65 range’s excellent processing properties mean the fi ttings can be easily brazed to the tubing without the need of special equipment. K65’s impressive thermal conductivity of enables heat to be transmitted through the pipe with improved energy effi ciency, higher by a factor of 20 than its stainless steel counterparts. www. conexbanninger.com

Pastorfrigor GB (PFGB) has developed and patented groundbreaking new technology that will make integral refrigeration a more viable option for retailers. The Genova Ecovision MCT is a low-front glass door integral multideck that features the Micro Channel Evaporator, creating a new generation of

plug-in Genova chillers with open multideck and freezers to follow. PFGB managing director Simon Robinson said: “The new evaporator enables us to use much less refrigerant resulting in us being able to use much smaller compressors. This delivers lower energy consumption and less heat rejection compared to a standard cabinet, meaning it takes away all the reasons why retailers prefer not to use integrals, such as higher running costs, noisy condensing units and heat rejection issues into the store.” The Ecovision is a low front cabinet with 5 tier 500mm shelves, a choice of door styles to suit customers needs and LED lighting. The cabinet is available in 3M0 and 3M1 versions and available to pre- order now for deliveries from August this year. Mr Robinson added: “A water-loop system is also available for the Genova Ecovision MCT, which is a superb way to remove the heat generated from the cabinets in the store. This system uses water via a plastic hose, a pump and a condenser outside. There is also the additional benefi t that you need signifi cantly less refrigerant and installation compared to a conventional remote system.”
