Actuated Solutions, the UK independent provider of valve automation products, has launched the HQ-005 electric quarter turn actuator. Building on the reliability and versatility of its HQ-004 product, the HQ-005 adds further functionality and features that make it one of the most advanced general purpose actuators on the market. Key innovations of the HQ-005 include a high visibility beacon, LED status indicators and a manual override hand wheel for ease of use.
It will also automatically detect 110v or 240v and whether AC or DC is present on the 24v option.
Precision engineering, including a brushless motor for increased reliability, means the HQ-005 delivers a 70% duty rating, and its hard-anodised fi nish is certifi ed to IP67. A built-in electronic torque limiter will automatically cut the power, if required, to prevent damage to the motor. It also boasts 10NM more torque and an attractive price point.
Available in Europe exclusively from Actuated Solutions, the HQ- 005 is fully interchangeable with the HQ-004 and will act as an advanced alternative in many applications.

Airedale
Airedale International has launched an additional after sales service to extend the life of heat exchangers in HVAC equipment.
It now provides long lasting anti- corrosion treatment to maximise the effi ciency and performance of air conditioning systems such as heat exchangers, evaporator coils, condenser coils in external chillers, condensers, dry coolers and more.
Corrosion is the number one cause of effi ciency loss in heat exchangers, typically when exposed to extreme weather conditions and pollution.
Protecting aluminium coils can triple the lifetime of the heat exchanger, prevent early deterioration, capacity loss and the need for coil replacement.
Applied protection could also save up to 30% on annual energy costs.

Fridge van conversion specialist CoolKit Ltd has launched a new solution for a refrigerated box body at this year’s CV Show.
The insulated box body fi tted onto
a Mercedes Sprinter MWB chassis features many fi rsts, including new ‘fi t and forget’ LED cluster lights, resulting in less maintenance on the vehicles.
It comes with a range of features as standard, including gloss interior, aluminium sections, stainless steel rear frames and door furniture, plus a high impact GRP interior surface which is lighter and stronger than current industry solutions. It also features rear door central locking - another fi rst for UK box body vehicles. With anti-slip GRP fl ooring, door aperture to allow a fully loaded pallet at 1340mm width, 360 degree camera system, under chassis refrigeration unit and light-weight rear step fi tted to the full width of the door opening, it pushes boundaries of design, innovation, materials and technologies.

The unit is fully addressable from a hand held device where the unit can be easily checked to ascertain that the pre-set values are being achieved even without the BMS working. The LED screen on the hand held device shows the engineer exactly what is happening with the fan coil unit. If changes to the fan coil performance are required due to design changes then the set points can easily be adjusted by the hand held device. All of this information is communicated to the BMS when it is fully operational.
This simple single point complete controls package means that everything is being supplied and fi tted by the fan coil manufacturer.
