Group’s expansion into New Zealand and the US, I also then became a European shareholder. With the growth into the UK market, I have now uprooted my life completely and am now relishing the adventure of building a successful multi- master franchise in the north east of the UK.

What training and support did you receive initially and ongoing? As a gardening franchisee, I received a thorough initial training and full kit of equipment for the total cost of £3,950. At such a low entry price, I wondered what the support would be like. My personal experience was brilliant with excellent lead generation, promotional support and ongoing business coaching to ensure my business was achieving my goals.

What is a typical day for you as a franchisee?

As a multi-master franchisee, my typical day is spent attending meetings with potential franchisees and new franchisees. I’m involved with the training and support of franchisees and helping them to change their lives with a successful business of their own.

Express Business

Group Jeff Allen

Jeff ran a real estate partnership in Australia for 22 years before moving to Leeds. He began trading with Express in 2013 and covers East, West and South Yorkshire, and Derbyshire.

Why did you go down the franchise route and why did you choose Express? My background is in real estate, management rights and banking; I ran a successful real estate agency for over 22 years, so I have always believed that working for yourself is the best option. When the global financial crisis hit, I closed

the business, and while I was deciding what to do next, I discovered a love for gardening work through a number of volunteer projects.

My partner suggested starting up a business and, as it was a new industry for me, I wanted the security and support of a franchise system to back me up. We soon realised we were in business with a company that has an experienced and dedicated team, offering outstanding support, business coaching and lead generation.

How has this influenced your personal life?

My personal life has completely changed through my association with Express. When I started as a franchisee, I immediately found myself doing something I loved that was generating a fantastic income. As I got to know more of the Express family, I saw greater opportunity and became a regional master franchisor. Seeing the success of Express Business

What marketing and/or promotional tools do you use to grow your franchise? We use a variety of promotional strategies to grow our franchise, including vehicle signage, online advertising, brand awareness campaigns, shopping centre promotions, flyer drops, and local networking to meet potential franchisees and to promote our franchisees. We also provide tailored websites and mobile phone apps for all our franchisees to make it quick and easy for their customers to contact them.

Would you recommend a franchise opportunity with Express Business Group to others seeking to run a franchise?

Our total experience with Express Business Group from initial franchisee to now has been beyond our expectation. We share the Express vision to change people’s lives and our mission is to provide anyone seeking to run a franchise an excellent opportunity at an affordable price, backed by outstanding training and support.

What are your plans for the future? I plan to build a thriving multi-master franchise here in in the UK and to grow with Express Business Group as we expand throughout the world.
