nss photo report
One of the trade stand areas, all of which offered good viewing of the showcase arena, ensuring a steady stream of visitors throughout the day
Pony Stallion Chartstürmer WE. Having travelled from Cheshire Jennifer said of the venue; “It was so easy to find, we arrived to a friendly welcoming atmosphere and the ambience has continued all day. The stabling area is great and everything is set up well”. At only four years old this was Chartstürmer WE’s second outing under saddle. Jennifer added; “We came here to showcase to the northern breeders. It’s great that there are so many ponies entered as it seems to have brought along pony orientated spectators. Everyone is catered for here.”
Wolkenderry was presented under saddle with a well choreographed display to music, alongside one of his progeny, a 3-year-old gelding, demonstrating that he passes on his athleticism and temperament
Travelling from Beverley in East Yorkshire, Julia Hodkin has attended every Northern Stallion Showcase since its inauguration
in 2014 with her Future Sports Horses. Standing two stallions, Julia put on a great display for the audience, which includedher stallion Future Gravitas jumping over a Future Sport Horses PVC banner held up by two people. Praising the event Julia said; “The showcase is valuable to me as a stallion owner, because it gets the horses seen and it’s an opportunity for people to see them in the flesh, see their temperament and movement and therefore it helps them make an informed choice.”Julia went on to say; “You can tell that lots of preparation has gone into the event and it’s paid off.”
Proving that there is an interest in stallions out with breeding, a number of visotors were at the showcase to enjoy a day out.
