Digital interactive course maps online For Mitsubishi Motors Cup
Excitement is growing as competitors gear up for the Mitsubishi Motors Cup – a key fixture in the British Eventing calender, now held at Badminton each year.
CrossCountry App has released the digital interactive maps for the 2017 BE90 and BE100 Mitsubishi Motors Cup cross country courses for all to view online. At this stage, the fences are in their final combinations and position, giving competitors and supporters their first sight of what will be awaiting them on the competitions’ cross country day, Wednesday 3rd May 2017.
Audio notes from course designer James Willis will be included and photos will be updated once all fences on both courses have been flagged and dressed. Mitsubishi Motors UK Ambassador Emily King will also provide audio on Monday 1st May to create a virtual guided course walk. This will be invaluable for riders at this year’s competition as well as providing inspiration for those aiming for the competition in the future.
Badminton Event Director, Hugh Thomas says: “In addition to each Mitsubishi Motors Cup competitor’s training and fitness work, having access to an interactive version of the course plays an important role in helping riders feel as prepared
as possible for what will be the biggest competition in many of their eventing careers.”
The 2017 digital course maps are available to view on PC, Smartphone and Tablets at https://

Associated Championships go from strength to strength
From vivacious veterans to dazzling draught horses, British Dressage’s Associated Championships have gone from strength to strength and this year Allen & Page will be extending its support to cover eight Championships.
Norfolk-based equestrian feed manufacturer Allen & Page sponsored the well-received Veteran Championships for horses and riders and the Native Pony Championships in 2016, which will be joined by breed Championships for Spanish horses, Lusitanos and Draught horses, plus the ever- popular Traditional Gypsy Cob Association Championships and new for 2017, the Arab Horse Championships.
Tim Page, Sales Director of Allen & Page said; “We’re proud to
Equine Page 38
be supporting the Associated Championships for another year, it is great to see riders of all levels and so many breeds of horses and ponies taking part”.
Created to prove that all combinations can aspire to ride at a British Dressage (BD) championship, regardless of age, shape or size, the Championships have proved a huge hit with the membership, reaching record numbers in participation in 2016.
Rosettes, sashes and plaques will be on offer at all of the Allen & Page Associated Championships which take place from the end of September through to early November, welcoming riders of all ages and abilities to qualify. Allen & Page will also be awarding prizes to the top placed combinations across
the championships, including vouchers to be used against their extensive product list suitable for every type of horse – from Veteran Light for the older horse to ‘L’ Mix for laminitis-prone. Area representatives from the feed specialists will be on hand at each championship and would love to meet you and hear your story, and will also be available to give equine nutritional advice to all.
Eligible combinations have until the 30 September 2017 (31 August 2017 for the Native Pony series) to achieve their qualification by achieving three scores above 60% at BD or Quest shows at their chosen level. Those new to BD are welcome to qualify, with the new Club membership at Intro and Prelim levels or using class tickets at the levels
above. The full lowdown on the 2017 Allen & Page Associated Championships is on the BD website,

co.uk in the Competitions area or visit the Membership section for information on the options available.
On behalf of British Dressage, Commercial Manager Jo Aldridge commented; “Allen & Page has been tremendous to work with and I’m delighted it is extending its support. The Associated Championships have brought around 1500 new combinations into competing with us so have clearly inspired riders to take part. The increased support and backing by Allen & Page can only help us to build on the success we’ve already enjoyed.”
