Mimaki dye sub printer includes two year warranty
Since its debut at FESPA 2015, the Mimaki TS300P-1800 1.8m production dye subli- mation printer includes a two year warranty, which "demonstrates its proven reliability in the field".
The TS300P prints quickly thanks to latest generation industrial printheads. It is capa- ble of print speeds of up to 115m²/h, which make it "ideal" as both a stand alone dye sublimation unit, or in a collection of ma- chines for high production. National sales manager for textile and apparel at Hybrid Services, Stephen Woodall, said: “The TS300P has everything you’d expect from Mimaki’s long heritage in textile printing. At a price point of £23,995, and with a two year Gold Warranty as standard, it’s ideal for sportswear, exhibition graphics and fast fashion.”
A key element of the TS300P’s success, says Mimaki, has been its compatibility with the economical yet vibrant Sb410 dye sub- limation inks. “Mimaki’s Sb410 sublimation transfer inks significantly improve profitabil- ity through their low cost; and the availabil- ity of the ink in two litre sacks for the MBIS3 (Mimaki Bulk Ink System 3) for long, unat- tended runs,” says Stephen.

The country's oldest signmaker launches new brand
William Smith, trade supplier to the sign and graphics industry, has unveiled the Smith brand as the company's manufacturing arm of the business.
Although these days predominantly known as a signmaker and distributor of self- adhesive film material, when William Smith was founded in 1832, it was known for inventing the first mechanical sweeper.
This new brand offers customers a variety of products, such as CE marked traffic signs,
illuminated and non-illuminated
commercial signs, and wayfinding products for internal or external applications, among others.

The launch of Smith has been formed to "strengthen and differentiate" the long-established fabrication side of the business away from their distribution arm.
"Launching a new brand is always exciting, especially one which has evolved over the years into an eclectic mix of tradition and cutting-edge technology," says Chris Bradley, William Smith's marketing man- ager.
"What's great about Smith, is that it empha- sises our investment and growth plans into an element of the company we are ex- tremely proud of, because it is the one where it all began."
74 Sign Update ISSUE 167 NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2016
Since producing its first sign in 1930, William Smith has developed significantly over the last century. Today the company of- fers a broad range of products and services directed at different markets, such as sig- nage, window graphics, vehicle graphics and display graphics.
As part of their plans they also opened a new 14,316sq.ft. purpose-built warehouse earlier this year. The facility includes nearly 2,000 storage bays and has the capacity to store nearly three times the amount of boxes of materials as the previous ware- house.
