Research shows that demand for Grade A workplaces is on the rise... B


y all accounts, 2015 was a good year for office space in Glasgow, with several new


developments, redevelopments and high-profile tenants puting a spring in the step of a sector that has experienced its share of heartache since 2008. Research published by


property advisor Knight Frank in the third quarter of 2015 revealed


As three big city-centre developments fill up quickly, concern grows over lack of new space to meet the high-end demand


demand for Grade A office space stood at 560,000 sq ſt, more than double the level of the same time in 2014, and the highest since


2011. For their part, developers have been working hard to keep up with demand. Announced in November,


50,000 sq ſt of the Tay House office building on Bath Street is currently receiving an £2 million refurbishment, including the addition of air conditioning, shower facilities and cycle storage facilities in the basement. Te refurbishment includes one entire floor of 30,000 sq ſt and is expected to complete in April.
