AP Hire Solutions, the equipment hirer, scooped three awards at Te Glasgow
Business Awards 2015 in October, culminating in the Bank of Scotland Award for Most Outstanding Business, the top award of the night. Te family-run business,
which hires a wide range of equipment to the construction, utilities and maintenance sectors, was also awarded the People Development Award and the Best Performing Business
Family-run plant hire business is a triple winner at The Glasgow Business Awards 2015, including Most Outstanding Business
(51 employees or over) Award, sponsored by Glasgow School for Business and Society, Glasgow Caledonian University. Iain Anderson, GAP’s Joint
Managing Director, said: “Tese awards are testament to our commitment to our people, products and processes which have seen us grow massively in recent years. Te future looks bright as we
continue on with ambitious plans to expand the business further.” GAP is masterminding
this growth from its base at Carrick Street next to the Clyde, where it hosts 160 of its 400 employees with the remainder of that number being based across Scotland. Te company has grown its footprint to the point where
it has more than 120 locations across the UK – from Elgin in Moray to St Austell in Cornwall – with staff numbers now totalling 1400 nationally. Te winning of the three
awards marks a recent strong period of growth for GAP Hire. Traditionally known as a plant and tool hirer, GAP has grown to eight divisions, each
