Launched in 1994, The Celtic Connections Festival has become an integral part of the city both culturally and financially. The music
festival has grown from a single venue event to a complex network of performances by an array of international artists. Over 18 days, the festival stages more than 300 events, which attracts an audience in excess of 105,000. The festival not only focuses on traditional Scottish music but also features some of the most prominent names in roots and world music. Over 2,100 musicians from all over the world attend annually.
