Award winners make Glasgow proud T


he Glasgow Business Awards 2015 saw a record 700 guests turn out at the Hilton Glasgow to celebrate the city’s achievements and successes


over the past 12 months. Big winners included GAP Hire Solutions,


who pulled off a hat-trick, winning the Best Performing Business (51 employees or over) and the People Development categories as well as the Bank of Scotland Award for Most Outstanding Business. T e Pets’n’Vets Family took the title of Glasgow’s Favourite Business with A.C. Whyte & Co. Ltd. named as Family Business of the Year for the third year running. Lord Gordon of Strathblane CBE, or Jimmy


Gordon, as he’s widely known, was awarded the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Award for Lifetime Achievement. Lord Gordon was Chief Executive of the-then parent company of Radio Clyde, Scot ish Radio Holdings, in the early
