With the approach of 2016, Valley Forge and Montgomery County, PA have said their goodbyes to the high-profile visitor from the Vatican. The World Meeting of Families and associated events with Pope Francis were certainly successes, especially as the county hosted the pontiff himself during an overnight in the Montgomery County neighborhood of Wynnewood.
The vision of the Valley Forge Convention and Tourism Board (VFTCB), however, is forever forward. Its sights now focused on the impending Democratic National Convention in July 2016. As it was for Pope Francis, the VFTCB is now in welcome mode for the delegates, guests and associated groups.
Many of the county’s tourism assets - locations, attractions, restaurants and hotels - have recently completed major renovations in an effort to shine brightly for an event of such historic proportions.
