Local Flair
The tourism board’s office location in King of Prussia puts it in the same neighborhood as two of its most iconic attractions: Valley Forge National Historical Park and King of Prussia Mall, the largest retail center on the East Coast. Partnerships with these destinations can be leveraged to personalize a group tour or spousal program. If you are looking to make your event unique to the area, we recommend beer from Sly Fox, wine from Cardinal Hollow or chocolate from Asher's.
As curators of all things Montgomery County, the VFTCB also has access to specialty items that are “Made in Montco,” meaning that it can provide gifts that speak to the area. Montgomery County’s deep history with agribusiness puts one-of-a-kind gifts like homemade fruit butters or jars of farm-fresh honey easily within reach.

Tour options in the Valley Forge and Montgomery County area range from the patriotic to the preposterous. In the former category, visitors can tap into the gravitas of seeing the Medal of Honor Grove at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. This walking path pays tribute to every recipient of Congress’ highest military honor, state by state. In terms of the latter, silliness is the watchword at The Stoogeum (rhymes with “muse- um”), North America’s only three-story tribute to The Three Stooges.
The VFTCB can also arrange tours for visitors to see where certain specialty items are handcrafted. For instance, many of the big hitters throughout Major League Baseball take a swing with a Chandler Bat. These beauties are made in Norristown, Montgomery County, in a facility that not only shows the process start-to-finish, but that also allows the merchandise to be tested (the factory proudly includes an on site batting cage). This experience also can be offered for off-site tours or spousal tours.
