Improvements also were made to the Sheraton's exterior with a new porte cochere and new landscaping.
Sheraton Bucks County is close to shopping, entertainment and off site din- ing opportunities. The hotel can accom- modate events and meetings for groups from 10 to 600 in its upgraded confer- ence space.
Returning to Bucks County under the new ownership of Landmark Hospitality, Hotel Du Village is poised to become one of the area’s top venues for meet- ings, special events and social functions.
Currently accepting bookings, this com- pletely renovated venue will feature the Colt Ballroom, a French Country Ballroom with 10-foot high ceilings, as well as space for 200 guests. The Historic Ballroom, a separate space, can seat up to 160 for an event. The hotel offers 22 guest rooms, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and fire pits through- out the grounds.
The Logan Inn, also under the new own- ership of Landmark Hospitality, is under- going a complete renovation to the inn and restaurant. Its menu features casual fare with a farm-to-table concept.
As part of the renovations, the inside bar and outdoor patio are being completely redone. The Logan Inn is the oldest con- tinually-run inn in the county and is one of the oldest in the country.
The historic Washington House in Sellersville is renovating its upper five floors with a projected opening date of December 2015. The space, currently a restaurant, will be expanding into a bou- tique hotel with 11 rooms and suites, including a Tower Suite with access to the Tower Observatory.
The renovation also will include a new two story vestibule, an upstairs lobby, conference room and a new dining patio.
Uniquevenues Groups will love Peddler’s Village and all
it has to offer. The Shops at Peddler’s Village feature more than 60 retail offer- ings, including apparel for adults and kids, toys and hobbies, specialty foods and home accessories. A large outdoor tented area is available for up to 200 people, as well.
A number of facilities ideal for groups ranging from 20 to 300 people are situ- ated along the Mercer Mile. Fonthill Museum is a grand castle that once was home to acclaimed patron of the American Arts and Crafts Movement, Henry Mercer. The Education Room, a comfortable theater-style room, allows for 30 people while the Terrace Pavilion, surrounded by sweeping views of the neighboring woodlands, can seat up to 50 guests.
The Mercer Museum, built by Henry Mercer to house his collection of Americana artifacts, contains five unique meeting spaces. The Elkins Gallery, with seating for 120, features a fireplace and grand piano for a homey atmosphere.
In the heart of downtown Doylestown, the Doylestown Inn is a charming 11- room boutique hotel that was recently renovated and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Throughout the building’s lifespan, it has housed a hattery, a cigar shop, a shoe store, a restaurant and even as a speakeasy during prohibition.
