COMMERCIAL POOLS
Commercial MultiCyclone Saves Water And Reduces Maintenance The MultiCyclone MC70XL is the commercial model of Waterco’s highly praised MultiCyclone pre-fi ltration device, a product which has continued to impress the world since its launch in 2008. Like its domestic cousin, the MC70XL’s unique fi ltration system works on the basis of centrifugal water fi ltration and is designed with no moving parts and no fi lter media to clean or replace. It saves water and reduces the need for frequent backwashing and is ideal as a pre-fi lter to extend the life and improve the performance of existing fi ltration.

An ultra compact system, the MC70XL is an evolution of Waterco’s MultiCyclone technology. Waterco has specially created the commercial version by increasing its number of hydrocyclones to cater for the higher fl ow rates and redesigned it to cope with the demanding requirements of commercial installations. The MultiCyclone MC70XL pre-fi lters up to 80% of the fi lter’s incoming dirt load prior to the main fi lter, reducing the load on the fi lter and therefore reducing the frequency of fi lter maintenance by up to 80% and saving backwash water. As the MultiCyclone MC70XL intercepts more and more sediment, the fl ow rate remains unchanged, improving pool water circulation.
Maintenance is simple with the unit’s sediment chamber easily cleaned by opening its purge valve.
It is easy and quick to install in new or existing facilities. It has a minimum fl ow rate of 36m3
hr and a maximum working pressure of 3.5 BAR.

Waterco’s ‘Fish Bone’ lateral confi guration eliminates any ‘dead legs’ by improving water fl ow distribution through the fi lter bed, thus increasing water circulation and reducing backwashing, saving water and chemicals.
Manufactured in their ISO 9001:2008
certifi ed production facility, Waterco’s digitally controlled fi lament winding machine faultlessly winds continuous strands of fi berglass fi lament to create a fi lter vessel with refi ned consistency and superior quality.
Micron commercial fi breglass fi lters offer proven quality and longevity and are available in top mount, side mount and horizontal confi gurations with fi lter areas of 0.87m² to 10.0m² with both the option of nozzle plate or lateral underdrain available, designed and built for many years of trouble- free operation. Waterco also offer Glass Pearl and EcoPure Glass fi lter media, both of which offer many benefi ts over traditional sand and will further optimise the fi ltration process and reduce operating costs whilst providing superior water clarity.
