Two very happy LUX-AL customers
The Dutch and Scottish, like the Germans and the Swiss, tend to be extremely discerning buyers. Okay, perhaps it isn’t right to stereotype a nationality in such a sweeping sentence, but on the other hand it is true that when looking for quality, good design, durability and value for money the Dutch, Scottish, Germans and Swiss are invariably tough cookies. The photo shows Pat and Daan Rademaker in front of two of their recently replaced double glazed patio doors. “We had quotes from 3 different firms” says Daan who is Dutch. “We chose LUX-AL primarily because of the design that Dennis suggested for one of our windows because we wanted a clear view of our swimming pool from our dining room, but we still needed the window to be open-able for the breeze to flow into the room. Dennis came up with the perfect solution.”
Daan continues “Of course it is always a leap of faith when you choose a contractor; you make the decision on paper but the actual experience is what really counts. Brandon and Tom, who fitted the windows were punctual, they took care with the fitting, and spent a lot of time getting everything perfect. They used cement coloured to match in with the tosca stone, and it wasn’t a rushed job, you could tell it was important to them to get everything right.”
When asked about her thoughts on the replacement window and doors Pat who hails from Scotland says “They have made a big difference, we are very pleased. One thing I do notice though is that the new patio doors are so beautifully clear compared with the old ones that I am having to make sure they are open before I walk through! I know I’ll get used to them, but it’s like they aren’t there!”
So another two very happy LUX-AL clients. And in fact Pat and Daan have just placed an order for a further arched double opening Naya door. “It was a decision between keeping a dwarf wall and replacing the old window above, or knocking out the dwarf wall and putting in a further pair of patio doors. Having seen the difference the new doors make already we have decided on the latter” says Daan.
