The Importance of Feeling FAB
Promoted by Parasol Care Centre, Hosted by H2O, Supported by Cancer Care Female Focus attended the 2nd session of Fabulous And Beautiful Costa Blanca (FAB) whose aim is to help ladies undergoing treatment for cancer to feel fabulous and look beautiful. Receiving treatment can be particularly stressful for ladies, with hair loss, weight gain and loss of confidence all being potential side effects of treatment. If this affects you in any way, or if you would like to give help and support, come along to a FAB meeting at H2O in Javea Port and gain style tips on how to dress the temporarily larger body, advice on hair, wigs and scarves, learn how to put on false eyelashes, and get advice on makeup and nutrition. All in the company of lovely ladies like yourself. Come along and meet the team, have a glass of cava and some nibbles. Because of the summer FAB is now taking a short break, with the next meeting being on Wednesday 16th September and then every 3rd Wednesday of the month after that. The get together starts at 6.30pm, and everyone is welcome. Parasol Care Centre is situated in the Arenal area of Javea, a few doors down from Specsavers. As well as stocking mobility aids and all sorts of personal care items, including wigs, Parasol Care can help with extra care whilst you go through this trying time. Come in and talk about your needs from staff who have personal experiences and from qualified nurses.

Pictured are Wendy Eales from Cancer Care Javea who is presenting a cheque for €500 to Bars Bullen from Parasol Care Centre, the money will be used to promote FAB and all its activities, so that more and more ladies can benefit from the FAB experience.
