VAMPIREDIARIES


Not accurately following the instructions led to the main legs not fitting. I needed to cut away a


wall that closed in the wheel bay preventing the fit. Looking at it I am not sure it should have been there anyway.


When dealing with any primary colour, and especially a dayglo colour, it is essential to apply it over a white base to ensure clean and even coverage.


Decalling is a breeze with them settling well with the addition of any solutions. Nicely pre-cut serials are provided for covering the open undercarriage doors. The only downside is the translucency of the white when covering the orange.


Dust pigments were applied to the tyre treads as a very simple and easy effect adding a little weathering and more realism.


A final step only remembered at the end of the build was to add the pair of antennas that sit on the tail booms. A small 0.3mm drill was used to drill the holes..

A small section of stretched sprue was cut and inserted into the holes to replicate the antennas, a small but noticeable feature of the Vampire.
