VAMPIREDIARIES

Even for its compact size the entire cockpit is well detailed for the scale right out of the box, including detailed side walls and a decal instrument panel.

The only real need to improve upon the cockpit is to add some belts to the seats. Lead foil is a good choice as it bends easily and holds its shape.

Small lead balls were dropped into the nose and set with white glue for weight. Get as much as you can in here as it needs at least 7 grams to avoid a tail sitter.

A little thought has gone into the design of the jet intakes making simple for construction with maximum effect. The wing section will perfectly sandwich onto this area for correct alignment.

The clever way in which the tail booms have been handled allows a simpler and more accurate construction of this tricky area.

A good start to any metallic finish is a smooth and glossy black undercoat. Tamiya Gloss Black was applied overall and finished with a liberal coat of Johnsons Klear. This was then buffed to a perfect shine using the SAM 4 way miracle polisher.
