August promises a new 1:72nd scale Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk V (A08016), at £24.99, which should be welcomed by many as the Whitley has been overlooked for far too long.
December Brings the plethora of new 2015 releases to a strong culmination with the arrival of a most unexpected 1:72nd Avro Shackleton MR.2 (A11004) winging in at £39.99. Completing the schedule are a new Junkers Ju 87B-1 Stuka (A03087) priced at £10.99, and Westland Sea King HC.4 (A04056) at £14.99.
Re-releases expected during the year include the 1:72nd scale Handley Page Halifax B.III (A06008A) returning in February, along with the 1:144th scale de Havilland Comet 4B airliner (A04176) coming along in April. Making the most welcome return will be the 1:48th scale English Electric Lightning F.1/F.1A/F.2/F.3 (A09179), which has been unavailable for a number of years, expected to be available when October comes around.
Once again Airfix have managed to surprise us all with their plans, and they must be commended for picking up on some types that have been long requested by many modellers.
