Restaurante Mim’s - El Campello
“We will certainly do it again” As a professional food critic, now retired on the Costa Blanca, I eat out for personal pleasure. I was therefore delighted when I discovered and tasted the cooking prepared by the amazing chef at Restaurante Mims in El Campello and felt compelled to write about the experience.

I have dined and written about many restaurants throughout Europe but few, if any, can rival Mims for quality, comfort and price. The meal was in a different league to any other I have experienced on the Costa Blanca.
I dined with a companion and we both agreed Mims definitely merited its award for “creative cuisine, service, atmosphere and value”
John, the proprietor chef has created a choice of inspirational menus, a la carte, three and four course set menus with wine and an economically priced lunch menu. These are regularly changed to suit the availability of fresh produce, whilst retaining favourite house dishes. The house dishes include goats cheese in puff pastry, deep fried langoustines in soya caramel and homemade pate as starters. Also main dishes of cushion of lamb, pan fried chicken with bacon, garlic and chilli, salmon with spinach and mushrooms- all served with mixed vegetables.
Spoilt for choice, my companion and I both settled for the same dishes from the three course menu-tandoori salad for starters, fillets of tilapia with jamon, tomato and capers for main courses, followed by tarta manzana and ice cream. Finally coffee and brandy which are extras.
Taking in the glorious views of the Mediterranean from our chosen table on the terrace, whilst being served a culinary delight, was truly a memorable experience-we both intend to repeat. Owen La Vale (Retired)
