As many readers will know the stories of abandoned dogs touch so many of us. Those of us who can adopt a dog have done so already, perhaps more than once over. But if you can’t adopt then there are ways to help get dogs out of their cages. One is to make a donation! Nick Moore from CPA Orihuela (ASOKA) working in collaboration with UK dog rescues, has started a fund to help get dogs to foster care in England and Scotland. Once the dogs are there they are placed with families who help socialise them to then fi nd them homes. The fi rst three dogs have gone this month. The plan is to help dogs who have been in cages the longest. One of this month’s candidates was Robin who has been in a cage for three years and never known a loving home. The family in Scotland were able to pay for his keep but simply couldn’t afford the transport costs. It costs around 220€ to send a dog to Britain. If you would like to help then it’s so easy to do.
