Female Focus Gearing up for Winter
Here at Costa Car Clinic we know how quickly the weather changes, and how this makes us more reliant upon our vehicles. With this in mind we want to make sure that all our customers are prepared for the winter months ahead. Going from a hot, humid summer to a wet winter your vehicle needs to be in tip top condition.
Here are some basic checks that you can carry out: - Wiper blades – Due to the lack of rain you probably won’t have used these much over the summer, make sure that they work now before the rain sets in. - Lights – Get a partner, friend, or relative to go through all the lights with you. The mornings and evenings are getting darker and you don’t want to get caught out with bulb failure. Make sure that you can see the headlights, often these become faded over the years making it almost impossible to see on darker days. - Tyres – check the tread, worn tyres won’t grip wet roads as they should, also look for signs of sun damage (small cracks in the sidewalls). Make sure you have air in your tyres, when you next fill up with petrol just check them.
