New Alzheimer’s Association
AMMA (Alzheimer Mar Menor Association), is a new and much needed association formed to cover the area of Mar Menor with the help of the Town Hall of San Pedro del Pinatar to give help and support to families, carers and patients of Alzheimer and all dementias.
Projects include a day care in San Pedro de Pinatar, support groups for families, carers and
patients, workshops for patients with Alzheimer and all types of dementias. We aim to work closely with psychologists, physiotherapists, Social Services, Volunteers etc. along with the Town Hall of San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Arcos Hospital, and other support groups throughout the region. Future plans include a full time residence for Alzheimer and dementia patients in the Mar Menor Area. ADAPT supports AMMA
ADAPT (Association of English Speakers of San Pedro del Pinatar) has made a donation of 500€ to the newly formed Alzheimer’s support association AMMA which is also based in San Pedro.
ADAPT’s president Jane Cronin said that she was delighted that ADAPT could support AMMA as many of the aims were similar between the two associations. ADAPT works for the integration of the English speaking community into the local area whilst AMMA has been established to help both English and Spanish speaking communities.
MABS Murcia Mar Menor Fashion Show
On Tuesday 11th November at 4pm we are hosting a Glitz & Glamour Fashion Show at Luis Lounge at the campsite in San Javier. We will have high quality used clothing and accessories for sale.
