BOMLO BRONNBATSERVICE HAS RECENTLY RECEIVED ITS NEW VESSEL, OYSUND, THEIR THIRTEENTH WELL BOAT FROM THE AAS MEK WORKSHOP
T
he boat is arranged and equipped especially for keeping live fi sh in a closed system with no discharge of water during transport, with open wells and UV treatment. It also has a delousing fi lter for col- lecting lice, as well as fi lters and UV treatment for all circulating water during smolt transport and delousing, for example. Designed especially for the transport of live smolts and salmon, the
vessel has two cargo holds, separated with a sliding bulkhead, providing a total load capacity of 1800m2
. It is also equipped with a pressure loading
and unloading system, with up to seven metres altitude. The circulatory system is also arranged with its own fi lter for col- lecting lice during delousing. All wastewater from the lice fi lters runs through a band fi lter for the separation of dry substance/lice and the purifi ed wastewater is further UV treated. All lice are collected in a container and either disposed of onboard, or delivered to the shore for analysis.
The boat is also installed with a system for monitoring oxygen levels and water quality within the well, and oxygen is produced and mixed in the cargo hold. There is also ozone disinfection of the cargo piping sys- tem and the water that has been in contact with the fi sh after unloading. During transport utilising the closed system, water is treated for the removal of CO2 and regulating PH levels. All systems, machinery and monitoring are remotely controlled and logged from the bridge via a fully automated system. The vessel is also equipped with light and underwater cameras for monitoring the fi sh in the cargo holds during loading and transportation. For cleaning and disinfecting the cargo holds and cargo piping system, the boat is fi tted with an automatic washing and disinfecting system, as well as manual pressure washers and an ozone disinfecting system.
