Wilmington - The Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitors Bureau announced that William A. Sullivan has been elected as its Chairman of the Board. Sullivan is Managing Director for the Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware, coordinating the “experiential training” at the hotel for students in the university’s Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Program. He also is an adjunct faculty instructor for the Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management Program at both the University of Delaware and Widener University in Chester, PA.


MARYLAND


Baltimore - Visit Baltimore recently welcomed Kat Bryer, Christie Buckley and Tasha McDougle to its Convention Sales and Services Department. Bryer joins Visit Baltimore as a Sales Manager; Buckley will serve as National Sales Manager, Southeast Region and New Business Development, which is a newly created position; and McDougle will take on the role of Convention Services Manager.

Atlantic City - James Wood has been named Chief Executive Officer for the newly formed Meet AC, a private non-profit sales organization with a sole focus on building the convention, meeting

Wood will hire a staff and lead the Meet AC sales effort to generate both citywide and single-property bookings. He brings a wealth of experience to Atlantic City’s new, more efficient convention and group sales structure, having previously served as President and CEO for the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau and also for the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau.


Atlantic City - Julie Kispal Rice has been promoted to Regional Sales Manager for Revel Entertainment Group.


NEW YORK


New York City - Hospitality Performance Network Global (HPNG), the world’s most global site selection and meeting procurement company, has announced the hiring of meeting executive Rob Simons as Regional Vice President. Simons will be responsible for developing and maintain- ing relationships and broadening HPNG’s expo- sure in New York and throughout the East Coast.
