Occupying three city blocks in the heart of Syracuse, The Oncenter, an SMG managed facility, offers flexible meeting, convention, banquet and event space to accommodate groups and functions of all sizes. Three dis- tinct venues comprise this venue, including the War Memorial Arena, the John H. Mulroy Civic Center Theaters, and the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center. Also recently renovated, the Crowne Plaza Syracuse hotel offers 276 luxury rooms and three suites, on site dining, elegant meeting space, and a business center.
In East Syracuse, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Syracuse is a recently renovated full- service hotel with 250 guestrooms, a court- yard with seating, on site dining, and 12,000-square feet of meeting and event space.

The Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) is ideal for corporate receptions, networking events, employee nights and holiday parties. It offers a unique, profes- sional setting in the heart of historic Armory Square in Syracuse with space for groups from 20 up to 1,000 guests. As an added benefit, groups can receive dis- counted private screenings of IMAX movies and access to the domed Bristol IMAX Omnitheater for presentations. MOST recently unveiled its Energy Exhibit to educate about renewable sources of energy, and is currently featuring Dr. Entomo’s Amazing Arthropods, which is a temporary traveling exhibit featuring live insects now until August of 2014.
WonderWorks Destiny USA in Syracuse is a fun-filled attraction at the Destiny USA shopping center. Upon entering the building, visitors will immediately notice that everything is upside-down! From here, the journey begins to an adventure that fea- tures more than 100 hands-on exhibits. Recently, WonderWorks introduced a new Apache Helicopter exhibit that offers the opportunity to navigate the skies in one of the Army’s most renowned machines via a fully interactive simulator that is available to guests age 13 and older.
In addition, 5 Wits at Destiny USA is a cutting-edge, live-action entertainment venue that immerses participants in realistic, hands-on adventures, challenging them to prove they have what it takes to battle a giant squid (20,000 Leagues) or save the world (Espionage).
The Great New York State Fair takes place from August 21 to September 1, 2014 at the New York State Fairgrounds. New to the fair this year will be a 5K Bubble Blast run as part of a fundraiser for ACR Health and Operation Walk. This fun run for individuals and families at the fair includes a foamy obstacle course where runners who take part will run through “The Human Washing Machine” before heading down the Sudsy Slip and Slide, among other elements.
