internal policies to follow, township offi- cials to consult, traffic flow to address and much more.”

"Much more" is mandatory with JR Global Events. An emergency back-up plan falls into this category, which was fortunate for VirtualVoorhees. “We had the worst torren- tial rainstorms of the year during the VIP dinner,” recalls Ross. “A tornado touched down on the parking lot and the clear-top tentwas flooded. Our staffwent into imme- diate action with a calm that belied the weather. All guests were effortlessly moved to a second site and dinner progressed with ease and enjoyment.”

Thank goodness for emergency plans!

The same care and planning accompanies any JR Global Events’ meeting or event, whether held in the U.S.or abroad.

“No matter what we do, once guests arrive at the designated site, they become ours,” remarks Ross. “Sometimes we have to get a bit creative when dealing with multiple personalities, but I love working with asso- ciations. I like the different way we adapt and think tomake these events ormeetings work. One of the most important rules we follow is to‘keep it fresh.’ We never want to be pigeonholed. The world will change in five years and JR Global will be prepared.”

Being prepared is tantamount to triumph for any organization. To be certain important needs are met with skill, associ- ations often rely on outside firms to man- age all aspects of their business. One of these firms is Talley Management Group, Inc. (TMG).
