that. It’s teamwork. It’s having your teammate’s back. It’s working together. All these guys are such great people who volunteer for this organization, and whatever I can do to help them is not only helping them, but it’s helping pro- file Delaware County also,” says Fiore.
According to Rudder, he has a pet proj- ect he has been working on. “We’re known for our peanut brittle. So we may package peanut brittle and send it out to that audience in a special pack- aging and not necessarily really provide too much info as to where that peanut brittle came from. It’s just very well packaged. It may have the initials of the property, but it may not scream Omni Bedford Springs. So people may look at this and say, ‘Well, why did I get this?’ Then we’ll follow it up with anoth- er direct mail that ties into that packag- ing, and then it kind of opens up what the purpose of that peanut brittle was
as it relates to the property here at the springs. It... pulls the whole concept together.”
Thinking inside, outside or on the edge of the box is all in the eye of the behold- er. Any individual will have their own approach, but even if you’re not natu- rally creative, there are many ways you can challenge yourself to push your own limits of what’s possible. And often, what you’re looking for isn’t real- ly that hard to find.
“There’s a lot right about doing things differently,” says Fiore. “You don’t have to stay with the tried and the true. It’s okay to experiment. It’s okay to try new things, or try different things, or look at things from a different angle. A lot of people only look at things straightfor- ward. So look at things from all different angles. Look at them from above. Look at them from below. It’s okay to think
differently. It’s okay to do things differ- ently. That’s how different things get done - by being different.”
“This job has never ever, ever gotten boring,” he adds. “Everyday there’s a new challenge; everyday there’s something else to deal with, or something else to look at, because
you’re always looking for that next great thing.”
