Grand Hyatt Washington and Hyatt Regency Washington hotels recently announced the completion of their com- bined renovation, totaling $42 million.


Grand Hyatt Washington, located in the heart of Washington, DC, completed a $23 million renovation of its 897 guest rooms and expanded its Grand Club lounge to double its size. Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, located just steps from the U.S. Capitol, completed a $19 million redesign of its guest rooms and public spaces.


The hotel’s Grand Club has been reno- vated and now offers enhancements like: new VIP express check-in and check-out reception desk, personal concierge serv- ices, a complimentary welcome drink, an afternoon buffet featuring a variety of hot food items, and complimentary use of Apple iPads in the club in addition to having doubled its seating capacity.


Hyatt Regency Washington’s $19 million transformation included the remodeling all 836 of its guest rooms and suites, while guest room corridors have been updated, as well. As part of the renovation, the hotel also expanded its Regency Club lounge to offer additional seating and a new state-of-the-art technology center that includes two iMac workstations loaded with both Apple OS and Windows 7, as well as a full set of office applica- tions to suit any traveler’s needs. Additionally, the property updated its Capitol Ballroom and Thornton Room, and now offers 6,000-square feet of ren- ovated meeting and event space.
