Unique Venues
The National Aquarium, with its breathtaking views of Baltimore’s
Inner Harbor and five levels of award- winning exhibits, provides a magical and memorable setting for any event. The venue has just added a $12.5 mil- lion Blacktip Reef exhibit that allows visitors to get “up-close and personal” with blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, a green sea turtle and hundreds of fish.
Whether outside or in, spacious loca- tions are available for as few as five guests or as many as 3,000 people, making the aquarium an ideal place for corporate events, banquets, holi- day celebrations, weddings, and more. Unique options like a private film screening in the 4-D Immersion Theater provide an experience guests won’t soon forget. The main building features five levels of awe-inspiring exhibits and beautiful views of the Inner Harbor. This venue can accom- modate all sizes of groups for seated dinners or strolling receptions. The underwater viewing area is an inti- mately sized space showcasing dol- phins, and is ideal for small gatherings or for use as an extension of events in the Pier 4 Pavilion.

The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum and its signature building, the 1884 Baldwin Roundhouse, is a unique venue unlike any other. Guests can mix, mingle and dine among the most historic and comprehensive American railroad collections in the world. Dating from the beginning of American railroading, the collection contains locomotives and rolling stock, historic buildings and small objects that document the impact of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) on the growth and development of early railroading, and cover almost every aspect of an industry that left a per- manent mark on the folklore and cul- ture of America. It’s an ideal location for corporate events, receptions and galas.
Each Gallery in Geppi’s Entertainment Museum (GEM) is designed to capture a specific period or medium in American pop culture. From the library filled with treasures that range
from comics’ early days to the Pioneer gallery featuring the birth of character collectibles, GEM follows an entertain- ing journey through the history of pop culture. It is located on the second and third floors of the Camden Station building in Camden Yards. The sec- ond floor is the museum level, and features a grand hallway with hard- wood floors and mahogany paneling. This space can accommodate a cock- tail reception for 400 or a seated din- ner for up to 150. The third floor fea- tures a private gallery space that accommodates up to 100 guests.
Nestled at the base of historic Federal Hill along the south side of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the American Visionary Art Museum is an exciting venue for receptions, meetings and special events. Not only is the museum the national repository for artworks creat- ed by self-taught artists, but the build- ing’s architecture is an artistic creation unto itself, having won many interna- tional and national awards for its design and beauty. It is easily acces- sible by foot (a 15 minute walk from the convention center) or by water taxi, and it is convenient to the city’s downtown attractions.
