Southern Horse Magazine Page 83 Tried & TestedTried & Tested

Stacey Smith and her delightful Hunter Roo tried and tested some products that she hasn’t tried before.

Here she tells us in her own words why she thinks the products are worth trying out.

Heeling Tree Conditioning Shampoo with Tea Tree

I now use this product on a daily basis keeping Roo clean has now been made easier, you can use the WOW Whitener in manes, tails, feathers and on the

Markus Muehle LupoDerm Skin and Coat Treatment.

Having a grey horse I have used lots of different brands of shampoo to find what works best to get the horse clean and looking fit for the show ring, the heeling tree conditioning shampoo worked great on my horse leaving her clean, it even removed grass and stable stains which most shampoos don’t do!

It was easy to use as you don’t get a lot of soap studs. I would highly recommend this product not only for people bathing show horses, but for people bathing their horses for health reasons, or just for a general makeover as it contains tea tree which is a antibacterial that is great for the horses coat and skin.

Heeling Tree – WOW Whitener & Green Spot Remover

It is hard to get a good whitener spray that you can rely on, on a show morning! After using WOW Whitener spray to remove stable stains from my grey horse I have finally found a product I can trust! It removes the stain immediately and restores the natural colour.

I do a lot of showing and a nice healthy coat for my horse is very important to me. After using the ointment for a few weeks now it has made a vis- ible difference to Roo her coat looks healthy and feels soft & smooth. The Markus Muehle Lupoderm skin and coat treatment product is easy to use and is long lasting as you don’t use a lot.

body of the horse. The whitener spray is not just for light coloured horses as it helps to remove dirt, grime, urine and dust from the coat and also helps to restore the natural colour. Highly recommend.

When feeding Roo from a standard hay net a lot of the hay gets wasted as it falls through the holes on to the floor and it ends up in the bed. After using the unique design Elim-a-Net from Paerell Products over the last few weeks I can noticeably see a difference and a lot less hay is getting wasted.

I now use the hay net when travelling her to the shows as it has helped prevent a lot of hay falling on the floor of the trailer. The Elim-a-net is also made from good hard wearing material so is brilliant for everyday use. I am really pleased with the Elim-a- net and will continue to use it.
