£1,000 Raised for Charity
Suzie Wilson and her team of helpers put on a great fun ride for some 70 riders and horses to enjoy and in doing so raised over £1,000 for the Children’s Hospice South West. Reports Gilly Davidson.
“What a fabulous day every- one had with 74 riders tak- ing part in our North Devon Riding Club Fun Ride in memory of Ashley Henry, who was a frequent visitor to The Children’s Hospice.
A really big thank you to all my helpers I really could not have done it without them” said Suzie
“This was my second fun ride I have organised, I did say I would never do another, but just couldn’t help but organise one in aid of Ashley and it has been so worthwhile”.
This brings North Devon Riding Club’s total raised for charity this year to over £1,800.
Jane from Codden Hill Equestrian Centre said “What a fabulous way of raising money for charity, we have all had a great time riding today; I will look forward to the next one!”
North Devon Riding Club organises a range of events throughout the year, from dressage to show jumping competitions and clinics. Carmen who is Chair- man said “We are a really friendly club and are always keen to have new members join us”.
