Victoria rides in Supreme
The Carrs BMW Lead Rein Show Hunter Pony produced an excellent result for Shirley Lobb and Fiona Dymond from Bodmin, Cornwall with the seven year old Annandale Darcy by Soudley Taliesman out of Moelgarnedd Mair ridden by seven year old Victoria Dymond who qualified at the Staffordshire Country Festival.
Victoria’s mother Fiona, who led the pony, was highly delighted to win this competition giving an absolute foot perfect performance. The combination had to stay on to contest the overall Supreme Pony on Sunday evening where they once again put up a foot perfect show. Victoria was draped in her championship sash and received a warm hearted cheer from the audience when she put in an adorable salute to the judges in the Andrew Bowen Arena. Fiona’s elder daughter Abigail finished ninth in the 122ccmTopham Barnes Section on the same pony, this combination took the Pretty Polly 122cm show hunter pony at the BSPS Summer Championships and both have won many prizes in the South West.
Third place in the lead rein show hunter went to Sophie Demetriou from Weston Super Mare whose parents own the pier riding the four year old Welsh B gelding Annadale Augustus by Wyedean Deodar out of Annandale Lady Rebecca that qualified at Derbyshire Festival.
Five year old Oliver Woodman from Uffholme riding the nine year old Welsh A gelding Cosford Carabanc by Bengad Red Pepper and led by his mother Michelle finished fifth and qualified at Ponies UK, the pony bred by Mr & Mrs Paul Brightwell from Suffolk also competed at this year’s Royal Cornwall.

Show Hunter Ponies
The Topham-Barnes Show Hunter Pony Championship was won by the 133cm winner Eleanor Fairey from Norfolk with the 11year old Welsh B mare
Stambrook Wedding Belle by Ernford Bellby who had recovered from an operation to the carotiel artery after a fungal infection.
Alice Please
The reserve champion went to twelve year old Alice Please from Rockbeare, Near Exeter with her mother Sarah’s nine year old gelding Treowen Ranger by Boston Ballet Wot Not which took the 122cm section. Alice who has been a consistent winner and qualified and won three classes at the NPS Summer Championships, Malvern in August and also used to be a regular winner in Mountain & Moorland lead rein with the Dartmoor pony Pantmanr Juno.
Alice Homer from Oxfordshire took the second place with the seven year old Hightopps Jazz by Barkway Partytime which qualified at New Forest & Hampshire Show, Alice is following in the footsteps of her mother Lorraine and grandfather David Tatlow well known in the ridden hunters and has also been contesting working hunter ponies.

Alexia Trodd-Brohin from Bristol was third with the five year old Gigman All That Jazz by Gigman Seafarer which qualified at Midland Counties and won both the novice and young 122cm show hunter at the BSPS Summer Championships. Bristol’s Lucille Bywater granddaughter of breeder Ann Fowler of The Broadgrove Stud finished fourth riding the 14 year-old Treowen Flashman by same sire as Ranger and bred by Kevin Cousins, she took her ticket at Mid Herts. Sophie Harvey had a good second in the 143cm section with Spot on Harrison by Free Spirit out of Langfield Flip Dragon which is based with the Eaves Family next door to Stretcholt Equestrian Centre.
