Insurance Brokers Search For A Star Series in their 15th year, judged by Richard Ramsay, Clare Oliver and Katy Jerram impressed the audience with expertise knowledge about the performance of the finalists throughout their movements and ride.
The overall champion was Nicola Wilkes from Caerphilly with the six year old bay mare Rustic Midnight Moonshine by Ski Dancer which qualified at Badgeworth and took the show hunter section. Moonshine was fourth at the Royal Welsh and champion at Brecon County and really moved with an excellent gallop and show in the championship. Nicola was absolutely delighted to win the trophy and really pleased her husband Tony after qualifying they had to cancel their honeymoon in Australia to compete in the final.
Wiltshire’s Christopher Penfold riding the seven year old piebald gelding Llynfi Valley Colorado was third in the show hunter section and qualified at Wellington and also was champion at Usk County.
Jazmin Hosgood from Taunton put in a fluent performance with her homebred five year old Rubins Star Attraction by the Totnes based stallion Diptford Star Attraction out of Demelza to take the riding horse section. Jazmin was attending her seventh show and qualified at Badgeworth and hopes to contest International and HOYS small riding horse qualifiers next season.
Alice Crocker (15) from Denbury, Near Newton Abbot riding the 13 year-old mare Broomford Brazil was third in the working hunter section. Alice was delighted to be in the final having

qualified at Badgeworth and represented South Devon West Pony Club in show jumping at Scope Show, Stafford and also contested at Devon County. Claire Wilson from Tiverton put in a good fifth in the working hunter section riding the seven year old Dutch Warmblood Amazing by Papillon and competes in all categories in the horse division.
