Waxman’s Lifestone range of unglazed porcelain tiles is available in four colours and two sizes. 30cm x 60cm and 45cm x 45cm and are ultra safe due to the revolutionary anti-slip treatment. The Assouan range of glazed porcelain tiles is suitable for use on both walls and floors and offers a rich stone effect with the practicality of a porcelain tile. All Waxman anti-slip tiles are clearly marked with their own DIN ratings and Pendulum Test Results. They are also frost-proof and suitable for wall, floor and external use.
As well as ensuring the pool or wet area is floored correctly, and in order to reduce slip and trip hazards, walk areas around the pool should be free from obstructions at all times. Slip hazards can also be reduced by good design. Surface roughness, moisture displacement, the profile and surface pattern of the finish and foot grip, all affect slip resistance. The normal recommended range for the fall in wet areas is between 1:35 and 1:60. When combined with a slip resistant finish this should create a satisfactory surface. Floor gullies, gutters and valleys should not constitute tripping hazards, and the drainage outlets should not have sharp edges. They should also be easy to maintain.

A super-safe flooring, Sundeck is made up of a mixture of coloured rubber granules and a two- part epoxy resin. The rubber granules are ground from virgin sheet rubber and the epoxy resin has a base of inert pigments hardened by a polyamine adduct in benzyl alcohol, therefore hard curing and water resistant. It is laid 6mm thick onto almost any clean, dry substrate such as screed, concrete (if trowel finished) or timber. Being flexible, it is excellent at covering uneven or cracked surfaces. The substrate should include provision for any drainage required since water passes through the sundeck and will flow into the drainage provided at the substrate level. Sundeck is offered in ten attractive colours; motifs and colourways can also be incorporated. Aside from pool flooring, it is also suitable for changing rooms, patios, corridors and leisure areas.
