option, the benefit is that all the testing products on the market eliminate the ‘guesswork’ as to what state the pool water might be in. The ambition behind the swimming pool test kits has been to provide a quality of test results normally associated with laboratory analysis by trained technicians.

Palintest, Hanna Instruments, the Tintometer Group Lovibond, Sword Scientific, ITS Europe among others continue to invest and strive for that objective.

The right product is out there in the market to suit all needs.

LOVIBOND TINTOMETER – PRODUCTS FOR ALL APPLICATIONS – AND POCKETS No company has been as committed to get pool water testing an accepted principle in swimming pools than Lovibond Tintometer. It has been a

leading supplier of pool water testing equipment for over 50 years and offers the specialist market a wide range of testing equipment to meet every application and pocket. The range includes simple block testers through to photometer- based digital systems. Recent additions include the MD100 PoolControl Range which comprises two models – MD100 3in1 for chlorine and pH, MD100 6in1 for chlorine, pH, bromine, total alkalinity and calcium hardness.

Lovibond’s investment in raising standards of water testing has included courses around the country to step up the quality of training. The Lovibond range offers products for all water test requirements: potable, drinking and washing water, surface, ground and raw water, wastewater and effluents and swimming pools. Lovibond also stress the importance of ‘balanced water’ which guarantees a pool is in

pristine condition. The self-contained Lovibond Balanced Water Kit contains everything you need to ensure the water is neither corrosive nor scale forming, with easy-to-use tests to analyse: pH; total alkalinity; calcium hardness; total dissolved solid and temperature.

The AF129 kit is a versatile, modular system which is simple to use yet uncompromising in terms of precision. The unique Lovibond fade- free glass colour standards are used in the comparator discs to ensure long term stability and accurate colour matching. Combined with the accuracy of Lovibond reagents, keeping water in balance has never been so easy.

EXACT 10 READS WITH IMPRESSIVE PRECISION

The eXact Micro 10 is the first meter to read combined chlorine directly with 0.01 ppm precision. It offers faster, safer, easier, and more precise water testing. The eXact Micro 10 offers ten modes which provide direct read capabilities for combined chlorine, free chlorine, total chlorine, cyanuric acid, total alkalinity, ozone, calcium hardness, phosphate, pH, chloride/salt, and per-centage transmission which allows for testing of additional parameters. The eXact Micro 10 is made by Industrial Test Systems (ITS) and uses an electronic meter and dry reagents on a test strip. The test strip is a unique delivery system for the reagent. The reagents are dry so they are stable and have a long shelf life. The reagents have been formulated to minimise interference from oxygen, manganese, oxidisers, high hardness and metals. The meter is much more accurate than your eyes and it stores the last 20 readings in the memory automatically. It requires no drops, no
