Jacuzzi J300 model – it’s essential life is made easy for the customer says the company

Jacuzzi continues to add extras and luxury items to its hot tub offering

proud of and probably linked to fewer brands being on the market than compared to one time recently. He quotes the new MicroClean Plus™ Filtration System as an example of how technology makes life stress free. “The filtration system on our tubs is a great example. It uses a micro cleansing system which means the water in the tub is 15 times cleaner than normal. This means less chemicals and less smell. A lot of the dealers’ showrooms you walk into, the place stinks of chlorine. Our showroom at Alfresco Life has no smell whatsoever.” Sundance says its energy efficiency guide includes full foam insulation, insulating covers as a standard and a three layer shell construction which it says adds thermal ‘integrity’ to the whole spa.

Sundance offers a ten year warranty on its spa shell and seven years on shell surface and five years on equipment, controls and plumbing components.

Antimicrobial technologies using Microban® protection on Texas made Sunbelt Spas marketed by Elite Hot Tubs have been a selling point for the tubs.

When microorganisms comes in contact with an acrylic surface, Microban protection penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism making it unable to function, grow and reproduce. Acrylic is a non-porous surface, requiring less maintenance than many other available surfaces. However, even unprotected acrylic surfaces can be a breeding ground for microorganisms that can double in number every 20 minutes. Microban antimicrobial protection inhibits the growth of microorganisms, such as bacteria that can cause stains and odours on the acrylic surface. The continuous antimicrobial protection of Microban technology makes surfaces easier to clean and keeps them cleaner between cleanings. And because Microban technology is built in during the manufacturing process, it won’t wash off or wear away giving these surfaces continuous protection that lasts the lifetime of the acrylic. Elite’s business has blossomed on the back of innovation and quality and responding to customer

feedback. Here again investment in technology has led Elite to be certain about their hot tubs and the company offers five year parts warranty against electrical or plumbing defects and a 25 year full structural warranty on all products. Hot tubs have developed through

manufacturer innovation to make the owning and running of a hot tub the stress free experience consumers have been demanding for the level of investment they make.

The industry has worked hard to develop products which now can be respected as being reliable, more ‘green’ than ever before and unlikely to produce high day to day running costs. Manufacturers are now supremely confident their products don’t break down.

BISHTA is still considering an extended warranty product exclusively to members as a way of differentiating them from non-member competitors and offering a further competitive edge. The proposal is only at the draft stage at the moment but has a lot of backing. Again the consumer will benefit.

BISHTA also insists on a robust Code of Ethics and clear warranties for customers as a defence against dubious practices from non-members. Energy technology is a theme owners always raise. Gone is the uneconomic hot tub of the 1990s which compared to today’s models seems a basic, functional product. In its place is a more efficient, more reliable, well insulated, energy efficient unit which represents a sound investment and which will last for years and years when it is serviced and maintained as it should be.

Jacuzzi® says that responding to customers has always been ‘the driving force behind our success’. “We constantly upgrade our hot tub models every year, making them better, more comfortable, better value for money and especially more innovative,” says the company. “It’s certainly essential for us that we make life easy for a purchaser – taking away the concerns and providing the best possible product to make owning a Jacuzzi effortless. It is certainly true that when we sell a Jacuzzi hot tub the customer

knows that he or she has a quality product which will not cause any problems or difficulties. We know there is complete confidence in the product. “As the inventor of the whirlpool bath and spa categories more than 30 years ago and with more than 250 patents worldwide for advancements in pump systems, jet technology, air controls, and product design we deliver the optimal hydrotherapy experience.” Jacuzzi hot tubs are guaranteed against manufacturing defects by Jacuzzi Worldwide offering between five and ten years on structural warranties through to two or three years on plumbing and electrical systems. Today’s rigid vinyl hot tub cover was developed, to promote energy savings, heat conservation and safety. This single-minded vision has led the spa industry to a higher standard of energy efficiency. Almost every hot tub sold is now shipped with a cover.

The signs are that the industry will go on improving the deal for owners with more extras, luxury items and gadgets designed specially to appeal to the wellness benefits of owning a hot tub. spn
