LL.M. Program in United States Law offers international lawyers the chance to study key areas of U.S. law at one of the top law schools, located in a sophisticated university community. LL.M. students are fully integrated and can select from a wide array of courses. Students should have already received a law degree from outside the U.S. Required ABA acquiescence of LL.M. addressed in Jan. 2011.

The mission of our Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program in American Law is to offer a one-year program of study for international students and practicing lawyers who have law degrees from institutions in their home countries and to prepare them to return to their home countries with enhanced knowledge of American law.

This new track builds on existing strengths in transit-oriented development, climate change, local land use, environmental dispute resolution, stakeholder development and environmental equity to train lawyers to deal with the need to develop human settlements in an environmentally sensitive, commercially viable and ecologically sustainable manner, both domestically and internationally.
