The LL.M. program at William Mitchell is unique in that students can customize their own LL.M. degree to reflect a certain practice special- ty or academic focus that is of particular interest to them. Examples of possible degrees include IP, Business Law, Dispute Resolution and Negotiation, and Instruction in American Law (for faculty). Students work with a faculty advisor to design the program.

Missouri was the first U.S. law school to offer an LL.M. exclusively focused on dispute resolution. MU consistently ranks as one of the top law schools in dispute resolution. We have one of the largest law fac- ulty who focus on dispute resolution, publishing many leading articles and texts. Our program blends theoretical analysis, practitioner skills, and systems design work.

Low tuition, affordable cost-of-living and generous scholarship opportunities make UMKC an exceptional value, providing foreign lawyers with an introduction to American law and legal skills. The UMKC campus is located in a thriving city with active ethnic communities and many cultural opportunities - an ideal place to experience American culture while studying American law.
