The Master’s Program in Air and Space Law is a combination of pub- lic air law, private air law and space law, both from an international and European perspective, and is unique in the world. For a detailed course overview, please see
www.law.leiden.edu.
The European Union is by far the most legally developed interna- tional institution in the world. Its continuing evolution results in new legal problems and yields new solutions on almost a daily basis, making it a fascinating area for legal research and learning. The European Union Business Law track of the Master’s program in International and European Law focuses on the European public regulatory framework that is encountered when doing business in the EU.
The aim of this joint LL.M. program with Columbia Law School is to train a new style of international criminal lawyers by obtaining a broad and deep understanding of international criminal law issues from both a common law and civil law perspective, and to develop academic skills by analyzing such issues.
The International Trade and Investment Law track deals with two aspects of international economic law; the law of the World Trade Organization and its dispute settlement system and international in- vestment law in the use of bilateral investment agreements. Attention is paid to the role of developing countries and sustainable develop- ment in the international economic system.
The track in Public International Law aims to provide a solid understand- ing of the general principles and structures of international law and to allow students to build expertise in a variety of areas of international law, including international criminal law, international human rights law, international environmental law and international economic law.

The two-year Research Master’s program in Public International Law aims to give students a knowledge and understanding of the fundamen- tal principles of public international law and in particular, the key areas of the international rule of law, legal science and international legal research.
The essence of the Advanced Studies program is on the impact of the law of the EU on government and enterprises in a global economy, and its repercussions on, and interaction with, other inter- national institutions. See-study guide for details http://studiegids.
