NEW CONCEPT FOR HOT TUB USE LAUNCHES IN EPSOM

A new concept giving more people the chance to experience hot tubs has opened at Epsom’s Rainbow Leisure Centre. A joint venture between not-for-profit social enterprise GLL and Epsom & Ewell Council, spa LONDON in Epsom has been designed to offer an easily accessible, luxury spa experience in a popular community facility. It gives local residents that chance to relax in a hot tub and understand and enjoy the experience.

“We want to be able to give as many people as possible the chance to use a hot tub and spa experiences without the expensive membership fees. The response we have already had to people using hot tubs for the first time has been very rewarding,” said a spokeswoman.

The launch in Epsom follows the successful introduction of the public sector spa concept to Bethnal Green in London’s East End over three years ago and a second spa at Swiss Cottage. The original

spa LONDON, which is housed within the historic York Hall building in the borough of Tower Hamlets has won a series of accolades including a top 20 ranking in Time Out’s Best Spa Guide.

GOLDEN COAST WEBSITES DESIGNED TO BECOME CONSUMER ‘ONE-STOP SHOPS’

Golden Coast has unveiled three websites designed

to provide

consumers with information to help them if they own, or are thinking of purchasing a swimming pool, hot tub, spa, sauna or steam room. The new websites are, www.yourpool.co for people looking for information about pools; www.yourspa.co for hot tubs and spas and www.yoursauna.co for saunas and steam rooms.

The websites include articles written by suppliers, engineers and retailers and feature a contact list of suppliers. The sites are designed to become a ‘one-stop shop’ and the source for information, advice and tips from those who know the facts in the industry.

The quote facility aims to collect information on project specifications, Golden Coast will then pair the customer with a local retailer who can provide a quote for the job, based on the information provided through the website. Golden Coast has been developing the websites for nearly two years. The company launched the first of its consumer websites, www.yourpool.co in September last year.

The sites will be officially launched at SPATEX. Golden Coast will be looking for more industry specialists to ensure the sites offer high quality information.

Golden Coast’s new websites and online presence represents a big shift for the family run company. Managing Director Jamie Adams said: “We have been in the industry for 35 years, and quality is at the heart of everything we do. We spotted a gap in the markets for an authoritative, impartial resource for consumers and decided to develop websites to provide factual information and encourage consumers to find their local suppliers.”
