This allowed him to minimize his risk and maximise the opportunity. In May 2010, he founded a parquet boutique in Brunswick as he took over part of Brandt’s timber portfolio.

The parquet boutique offers a range of fine timber. They are the sole providers of timber for Laura Ashley Home in the Brunswick area. They stock the world market leader in parquet floor, Kährs, and other main brands such as Parador, Thede and Witte Drüsedau parquet. They also have a choice of high end exclusive hardwood flooring.

"We offer a one-stop shop service - a real, carefree package for our customers. Usually, when we install new flooring in an apartment, it is accompanied by an overall renovation of the whole place. We can now offer to install sliding doors, walk-in robes and room dividers. We also brought in a brand new exclusive product range in laminate wood flooring. "
Guido’s other business venture includes a garden house company that has a national reach. He has an eye for business opportunities and he is not afraid to make it happen.
Guido is attempting to continue the highly professional techniques and practices that Brandt developed over the last 160 years.
“The stumbling blocks for the revival of the brand Brandt have been removed," said Guido Koch, "Customers who enjoy fine timber floors and fine timber craftsmanship will be glad to keep the tradition going." This philosophy will be the foundation for ongoing growth.
